I spent a month of my summer in Charleston, SC this past year. Charleston is a charming and inspiring place that I look forward to visiting again soon. While I was there, I reached out to some local bloggers to learn more about the city and collaborate on a few projects. One thing I learned about wedding photography is that in the south it is customary for brides to do pre-wedding bridal sessions. I loved this idea! The day of the wedding is often so rushed, but having your bridal portraits done a month or two before the big day gives the bride the option of doing something more unique for her photos that she wouldn’t have time for on the day of the wedding.
One of my brides, Kayla, was totally open to this idea. She already knew that there wasn’t going to be a lot of time during the wedding for photos, so this was the perfect option for her. Kayla and I love how her photos turned out! Kayla loves the color green, so we found the perfect place to capture some amazing photos.
I highly recommend a pre-wedding bridal session if you get the chance. It is also a great time to do a run through with hair and make-up!
